据《colombopage》报道，2009年10月9日，美国西芝加哥的芝加哥佛教精舍举行了供养功德衣法会，居住在芝加哥及其周边地区的约200名斯里兰卡民众参加了法会。

同时，印度安那州韦恩堡的印度安那寺也将于2009年10月17日上午10点举行它每年一度的供养功德衣法会法会。据悉，该法会将包括为僧人供养食物以及托钵行脚等活动。

Oct 12, Chicago: The Chicago Buddhist Vihara in West Chicago organized a Katina Ceremony (Robe offering) on past Saturday, October 9th. Sri Lankans who live in Chicago and Suburbs participated in the Event.

Ven Bante Kudagammana Seelarathana thera and Bante Sumedha thera of Chicago Buddhist Vihara organized the event. About 200 Sri Lankans participated in the event blessed with presence of 17 monks.

Meanwhile the Indiana Buddhist temple in Fort Wayne Indian will hold its annual Katina ceremony on Saturday the 17th of October 2009 with religious activities starting at 10:30 a.m.

The day-long event will include traditional Buddha pooja, Dana (offering of food to the monks) and a Katina procession. The event will conclude with chanting Maha Pirith in a traditional "Pirith mandapaya" (stage).
